They have hotels near Times Square.

I've never been to Manhattan so can't recommend a good Hotel but Skoosh have good prices and quite a few reviews I use them quite a bit, also if you do a search you can filter the results by price and distance and stuff.

Hope this helps and hope you have a nice time. How far in proximity is it from Manhattan to Times Square? What hotel in Manhattan would be the ideal hotel?
Times Square is in Manhattan, at the intersection of Broadway, 42nd St., and 7th Av.

Reasonable price hotel? I would google that.

Times Square has tons of chain restaurants like Applebees, Olive Garden, Ruby Tuesdays, Red Lobster, etc...

I would recommend taking the 1, 2, 3, A, C, E, N, Q, R, or W train one stop downtown to 34th St. for shopping that's not souvenir shopping nor too far away.
Times square is in manhattan. times square starts at 42nd st and 7th ave.there are a bunch of hotels but hotel Pennsylvania is a good big hotel and the prices are usually decent.hotel penn is on 33rd street and 7th ave so its only 9 blocks form times square.also worth a peek is the gershwin hotel, the holiday inn at 32nd st and broadway, and the la quinta on 32nd st between 5th and 6th ave.hope this helps
My friend, asuming this is your frist time going to New York City, Times Sqaure is in Manhattan. All the restaurants and shopping are within a short walking distance, as well as bus and subway ride, away from Times Square.

In regard to hotels, depending on you budget, may I recommend the link below.

Good luck

First off, Times Square in IN Manhattan! As to hotels, I really can't help you. There really are quite a few, but ';reasonable price'; could be a problem.
For ';nice'; you will be lucky to find something at $400 a night for one person.
