they just ask you to fill in a form on arrival but not to check up on you, its just for their record, incase you leave somthing behind or damage something they can get in touch with you. you can easily forge the form and make your date of birth a year older. and if paying by cash its even better, or if you pay with card make sure its not a childs one =]
ive been to ibis and hotel russel many a time..and hotel russel is more high class then travel lodge and they dont even ask for ID! same with ibis. so i dont think travel lodge would also. Can a 17 year old rent a hotel room in London?
Most companies won't give you credit until you are 18. This is probably why Travelodge say you have to be 18 because you have to book with a credit card. I'm sure that if you got your parents to book the room with their credit card but under your name it would be fine. You're legally allowed to drive, leave home and get married so I find it hard to believe they wouldn't let you stay in a hotel room.
why would a 17 and a 16 year old need a hotel room?
by law a minor cant book a flight or hotel room, even if you managed to get away with it online they'd suss you when you come to check in it requires ID.
Book on-line and don't tell them!
Just pretend you're 18.
