Am I allowed to stay in a hotel at the age of 16?

Me and a close friend of mine, who is also 16 is planning to go to France, Paris to stay there for 2 nights. However, there is a downside to this. I know that the age of consent in France is 15 years of age but will this allow us to stay in a hotel? Really need an answer, Thanks!Am I allowed to stay in a hotel at the age of 16?
If you want to stay in Paris you may try a youth hostel, either one of the Hosteling International ones, or one of the many independent hostels.


They might still ask you for proof that your parents agree, but will not make difficulties about your age otherwise.

Best would be, if you have a written statement of your parents, allowing you to travel on your own, with copies of your parent's passports, to prove that the signatures are no fakes. Otherwise you may be considered for being a runaway; hotel managers would not bother, but police or customs may.
i would think they will be more concerned how are they going to get paid. Most places are going to request a credit card and if are worried about getting slack have your parents write a note.
