How can I apply for a hotel/restaurant job in Las Vegas?

Me and my husband are planning to move to las vegas in November, He already has an office over there.


I am looking for employment when I get there but all the online application forms obviously all ask for a social security number, which I do not have.


I have 15 years of experience in the hospitality industy and this is what i am looking to do when we get there.


Does anyone have any suggestions? Is it a case of just waiting till we get there?

Why don't you have a social security number? You will need one, (a legal one) to get a job here in Nevada. How can I apply for a hotel/restaurant job in Las Vegas?
The best thing to do is too search for hotels and resturants near the area where u are moving and go to the contact u section of their website, this way you can do a basic summary of your C.V as well as infomation such as social secruity number.


Do this to as many hotels and resturants as you can and even if they dont offer you employment, they may give you advice as to where to go next in your search or even how to apply other than email.

You cannot be hired without a social security number, period. That's how the government collects your income taxes. Your not a legal US Citizen if you do not have a social security number. Do you have a TAM Card/Health Card or Sheriffs Card? If not, don't even both applying. You MUST have those cards/certifications in order to work at a hotel/casino/restaurant/lounge/bar, etc.
You say you have no social security number!! You will need a one to get any job in Nevada and now Jobs are very hard to get. The economy is really bad at this time unemployment is the highest in 15 yrs. You can apply online and good luck.
probably best to wait until you get there so you can personally go into the resturant and apply. Good Luck
