How do I get into the hotel industry?

I've been applying like crazy and can't seem to get an interview. I have 6 years administrative assistant, 4 years customer service manager and 5 years freelance event management and two years college.





Is there a specific degree or career experience?How do I get into the hotel industry?
Wow you seem to have quite a lot of experience in working in different areas and you have worked with people. That should be good enough to even get a foot in the door of any hotel. try and email a few companys and ask them what they look for when hiring people for the hotel trade. As you know i am from ireland. is there a board of tourism that you can write to and ask for advice. We have one failte ireland tourism board. check out your local job centre and also check out the net.





Personally myself i would hire you tomorrow with all the experience that you have under your belt. Good luck with my bit of advice and let me know how you get on.
