You're kinda waiting too long to get any good response, but you can try calling the corporate headquarters of the franchise. How to file a complaint against a hotel for being nasty?
Well, I had a bad experience once and I got online and looked for a website - if it's a chain hotel there is likely a corporate site. Usually there is a place where you can contact them. Look for something like ';contact us'; or guest service or get a mailing address for the head office. Write a concise explanation of everything that you experienced and tell them how unhappy you were with your stay. Now, the hotel did try to make amends for your problem and getting a free night is a normally fair compensation for problems, so don't expect much - and especially since you are now months behind the time of your stay. I don't know what you are expecting at this late date, but if it is financial compensation that likely will not happen. What you may get back is a letter of apology and if they are generous you might get a gift certificate for a discount on any future stays, but that is all you should expect. If you booked the hotel online using one of the travel sites, like Expedia or Orbitz, you can write an online review of the hotel - I use the online reviews to choose hotels when I travel. There are other places where you can write online reviews of hotels and if that's your motivation, then do a search of the hotel and see if any visitor sites come up that will allow you to provide a review. That is all you can do.
