I did front desk during college. The thing I hated the most was dealing with annoying vacationing families (we were near a children's theme park), people trying to bargain for deals, and just rude people in general. Also, if your hotel staff is disorganized you can end up checking people into rooms that already have guests in them or haven't been cleaned and that's always a hassle. People's complaints will be your biggest issue at the front desk. Just learn how to deal with rude customers and keep your cool and you will be okay.What are the cons of being a hotel desk clerk/reservationist?
Low pay. Bad hours.
