What hotel in las vegas has less crowded people during the summer?

wha hotels are nice, less crowded, and quiet and is there a lot of casinos walkin distance, or should i rent a car? What hotel in las vegas has less crowded people during the summer?
All the Casinos will be crowded, the summer is the best time to go since it is very HOT! However the larger the Casino the less crowded it will feel, Try MGM, Mandalay Bay, The Venetian. A great place 10 min. from the strip is The Red Rock, very big and not very crowded.

If your staying on the strip there is no need to rent a car, try the Monorail, it goes from one end of the strip to the other and you can get a 24 hour pass for $9.00 unlimited # of rides, great dealWhat hotel in las vegas has less crowded people during the summer?
Choices are by corner and none is less crowded than another

Tropicana, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, Excalibur, NYNY, Monte Carlo, MGM Grand

Paris, Ballys, Caesars Palace, Bellagio, Bills, Flamingo

Treasure Island, Mirage, Venetian, Palazzo, Wynn (easy walk to Caesars)

Riveria, Circus Circus, Sahara

You dont need to rent a car. There is a bus system $2 a ride or $5 a day Walking from one corner to another is HOT summer is not good idea
I have found Mandalay Bay, Luxor and Mirage to feel less crowded than many others I have found MGM, Imperial Palace, Caesars, Excalibur adn TI to be more crowded than many others.

You dont need a car if the only place you are wanting to be is on the strip but I do anyway as it means I go where I want when i want and can change my mnde and chaneg my plans if I see somthing of interest on the way.

  • How much would a Bellboy at a Hilton hotel expect to make (either Hourly or Annually)?

I'm applying to a bellboy position at the Roosevelt New Orleans, but in the job application I'm not sure what to put for the salary.

How much do you think one would make there? How much would a Bellboy at a Hilton hotel expect to make (either Hourly or Annually)?
I would put ';Negotiable';. That's what I was always taught to do in my high school business class and it's worked so far for me.

I like to wait until I've actually landed the interview before I start talking about money. If you put too much on the application, they may pass over you, and if you put an amount that's too low, then you're stuck with a sucky wage.

Off the top of my head though, I'd say you can at least get $8/hour, probably more if you really impress them. How much would a Bellboy at a Hilton hotel expect to make (either Hourly or Annually)?
hm, i don't know about that, but i live in the suburbs of new york and my friend was a bellboy at our local hilton and he made a lot of money. most of it came from tips and gifts from patrons, though. so if you expect to get a lot in tips, you can put down minimum or something you would be comfortable with.
    Minimum wage.

You rely mostly on tips for most of your income.

How much is the price of a good hotel in Caracas ? And what should a tourist do there in one week holidays?

One week? that is not enough dude!!!! take your time!!! to full enjoy Venezuela you have to visit many places this is why I sugest you to try a tour travel if there is any and I dont know the prices of all this dude it depends!!! only have in mind that if you bring enough these 鈧?or these $ you dont have to worry !!!.

What is the pros and cons of the hotel reservation system?

Hi, I have a small hotel and I am going to upgrade my hotel's system.

Does some one know how many kind of hotel reservation system in the world so far and what are their pros and cons? What is the pros and cons of the hotel reservation system?
for this type of answer you may want to contact one of the hotel chains, Marriott, Crowne Plaza, etc. and ask their customer service dept directly, they would prob be the best avenue to get accurate info for what you want to do.What is the pros and cons of the hotel reservation system?
    idk
Every hotel uses a different property management system. The larger chains like Hilton may own copyrights on their systems, so definitely check with the companies. Personally I work for Hilton, and their management system is called OnQ. I think it is a great system. I can't find too many bad things about it. I worked with some people who worked for Holiday Inn and they used a system called Opera. I could find stuff in the computer, but since I was used to OnQ, I liked that more. I think it's all about preference. Look around at your options. Ultimately it is your hotel and your choice! Start with Google-ing hotel property management systems and see where it leads you. It sounds like a bunch of fun to me. Good luck!

I can't think of any hotels that would give you such a view, except maybe the J. Willard Marriott on 14th Street near Freedom Plaza. And you'd want a pretty high floor. I can tell you that you can get an okay view of the 4th of July fireworks from Freedom Plaza.

Can my family of 6 stay in a hotel room with a 5 guest occupancy?

My family would like to visit Universal Studios Florida this summer and stay in a kidsuite in one of the onsite hotels. There is a five guest limit, but my husband and I have four young children who must sleep in the room with us. Can we still bring them along? Will the hotel allow this? Any suggestions? Can my family of 6 stay in a hotel room with a 5 guest occupancy?
if they don't, I just would not tell how many people there are. I have often just not told... unless you have to walk by the front desk to get to your room, you dont' have to say. A family should be able to get one room. It is not like you are sneaking another adult in or a pet. I would call ahead though, without saying who you are and just inquire. Can my family of 6 stay in a hotel room with a 5 guest occupancy?
If the sizes of the beds will accommodate your family, I wouldn't even mention to them that you are exceeding the limit. It won't be noticed.
You may need to clarify what you mean because if I understand correctly you have already stated you know that only 5 can occupy the room but you want to have it be 6. There are laws in regards to this - not so the resorts ';can make a buck'; seriously, just get two rooms that adjoin and keep the connecting door open or rent a room that is large enough to accomodate all of you-there are several suites in the area.
they love to do that so they can charge extra for the 4th kid
Yeah they have no reason not to allow it!
lol hell ya if u want u can sneek in one of ur kids lol
Just dont have everyone walk in at the same time they wont notice, i stood in a room for 6 people with 9 people all togther for a week and we never got caught
When making reservations, ask if 6 can stay in one room. Usually, the hotel accommodates, for an extra fee for an additional person. Enjoy your vacation!
well. the hotel will not allow it..

butt my family all goes to Florida every year.and we drive so on the way there and home we stay in hotels.. and we have put more then 6 in a room. you just don't tell the hotel you have 6 people. if you choose to, you will have to pay a extra fine! which is normally pretty expensive!

    Hope that helped you out!
They might charge you an extra fee. they might make you rent a cot or something. If they are young kids, they might not even do that. Just ask. they will likely accomodate you. they certainly don't want to lose business!
You may have to pay an extra price but if the children are very young, they may not include them in the occupancy.
Just stick the kid in the bag, and play dumb
As someone said, room limits are due to fire codes, not to hotel policies...

The possibility exists that a 6th would be legal if it is an infant.

Odds of them making you 'get another room on the spot' would be reduced in the summer since they could be sold out and not have another room available.

The ability to get away with it would be based on how the enforcement is down there. Since Florida has no income tax for it's residents, they get a good bit of their revenue from the sales %26amp; resort taxes that come from hotel rooms, so the state might be very inclined to be big on enforcing this, with perhaps increased emphasis on the higher profile resorts rather than the various 'stop %26amp; snore' places that litter International Drive %26amp; Rt. 192.
I would give them a call and check. It may depend on the age of the children. Most likely they will allow it, but check before you make the reservation.
actually you should follow the maximum occupancy the hotel sets out for the room type. it is fire code to only allow a certain amount of people in a room. you can try it but they will most likely make you pay for a 2nd room if they figure it out. you can get 2 rooms that have a connecting door that will allow you to enter into the 2nd room with out going into the hallway.

    hope this helps.
    they want your $$$$$$

    bring whomever you want.
Call the hotel and ask them - I think most hotels don't count children under a certain age.
Personally, if you just check in as 5 people, and bring the little kid, they shouldn't notice. If you keep them under control they shouldn't be checking on you, so they shouldn't find out. That's the way most people do it.

If you're worried, call the hotel and just ask questions, without giving out your information. That way if they say ';no'; you can still ';cheat'; since they won't know who called.

    good luck!

  • How to determine number of star for a hotel?

We always know about hotel. 1 star hotel, 2 star hotel, 3 star hotel and above.

But how to determine star to hotel?

1 star hotel? What is the criteria?

2 star hotel? What make it got two?How to determine number of star for a hotel?
The higher the star rating the better the hotel...however, a four star rating (the best) doesn't always mean the same thing. Depends on the country. The criteria is different for every country. A four star rating in say the U.S. could be a luxury hotel with all the amenities but a four star say in Mexico (just an example) could be it is just a basic room.

What hotel on the Vegas Strip would be the best to stay at?

It's for our honeymoon but we also are trying not to spend a fortune. Any ideas? What hotel on the Vegas Strip would be the best to stay at?
The prices really climb on week ends. So if you are going mid week you'll get some good deals.

If you want to save a little, try looking at hotels off the strip. They will be a lot less expensive and then you can just take a cab to the strip. Very often they might have shuttles. The Key Largo is a mile off the strip. It is not a luxury place, but it is clean and you'd save money.

Another off strip option is to try downtown. Look up rates for the Golden Nugget or Lady luck. They arn't as nice as the strip, but they are more historic and downtown can be fun.

If you must be on the strip then I'd pick either MGM, New York, New York, Bellagio, Paris, Caeser's Palace, Mirage, Venice, The Hilton, Harrahs or Montego Bay. A room is a room. Shop around and see what kind of deal you can get. The above hotels I named all have access to monorails between casinos and they are all big and right smack dab on the strip. What hotel on the Vegas Strip would be the best to stay at?
My husband and I just got back from Las Vegas. We stayed at the Luxor because I have always wanted to stay there. The problem was that it is so far away from the rest of the casinos. We decided that next time we go, we will stay somewhere in the center of the strip. The Mirage had a great location, beautiful casino, and was well priced. That is where we decided to stay next time. If you want something romantic try the Venetian or the Palazzo, they are going to cost more though. Congrats on your marriage!
It all depends on when your going. For example, if there is a convention or large group staying at the MGM all the rooms in that area of the strip will be much higher than usual. Also if it is a holiday weekend you will spend more too.

For the money my favorite hotel on the strip if the MGM. It may be slightly higher than some other hotels but it is worth the money. Another good choice is Treasure Island. It is not as nice of a hotel and has a much smaller pool but it is cheaper and in a good location.

Your best bet is to go to websites like expedia.com and hotels.com and see the rates. Once you find a good rate you can go to the hotels website directly and book there. By booking at the hotel directly (for the most part) you have the option of canceling up to 48 hours before your trip. This way you can cancel if you find a better deal somewhere else.

Even after you book keep checking that hotel and others to see if the rate has dropped. Room rate change daily both higher and lower so keep and eye on them. My wife and I have a trip booked in June and I have change the room reservation over 4 times with each time saving over $20 a night.

Also if you go to the hotels website and sign up for email deals you will get offers emailed to you from time to time.
Try the Riviera. I stayed there its quite nice but its at the top of the Strip. Try The Luxor aparently its quite affordable about 100 per night + the fact that its a massive pyramid hehe right by the main hotels and casinos and also shopping Take a look on google and type in Las Vegas Accomodation and you should be able to find something suitable.
    Avoid:

    Tropicana

    Imperial Palace

    Excalibur

    Circus Circus

    Ballys

    Sahara

    Stratosphere

    Casino Royale

    Flamingo

    NYNY

    Harrah's

    Riviera

    Bills

    On the fence:

    Luxor

    Planet Hollywood

    Consider:

    MGM

    Mandalay Bay and The Hotel

    Four Seasons

    TI

    Bellagio

    Wynn

    Palazzo

    Paris

    Mirage

    Venetian

    CP

    Monte Carlo

You should be able to get great rates on MGM, Mirage, TI and MC in the summer time. Not sure what your price range is but even at the top end properties, you should be able to secure nights under $200 on the weekdays. Trust me you don't want to tell people you stayed at the Imperial Palace for your honeymoon. Do some searching around for vegas promo codes (fatwallet.com) and you will find the bext mix of appropriate hotel class and affordable nights. Have a great time!
Well after living in Vegas for a while, I have had the opportunity to say at many of the hotels on and off the strip. My favorite has been the Wynn and the rooms at Bellagio, but if you are looking for something more affordable then maybe try the Mirage (all rooms are being remodeled) or the MGM Grand (super comfy beds and really nice rooms). Good Luck!
I think that you need to be very careful here when looking for a nice hotel for memorable event rather than a cheap bargain. I noticed someone has posted Imperial Palace sure its good location and cheap but believe me you don鈥檛 want to have your honeymoon here. It is still possible to get a really nice decent hotel for a good price and do that for your honeymoon and then get the real cheap deal on your next trip.

We stayed our honeymoon at Mirage and it was quite simply perfect we got a good deal and stayed at MGM Grand with some money left over from our wedding this code is probably the best price you can get for Mirage and we have booked using this for Xmas

    Simon
We just celebrated our anniversary in Vegas a few weeks ago. We stayed at the Venetian and got a great rate - about $200 a night. It was cheaper than Caesars, Bellagio, Mirage, and MGM, which were some others we considered. I did a lot of hunting for that rate, and can't remember where I found it.

All of the rooms are suites at the Venetian, and it is a really nice place.
The Deluxe rooms at Bally's are nice and would most likely be less expensive the Mirage. Flamingo and Harrah's are more central but rooms can be iffy. Some are very nice and some are small and tired.

Can't say about the Imperial Palace. I check into a King Deluxe Suite there on Sunday June 1 for 10 days.

Congratulations on your marriage and best wishes for your feature.

    Bev
I would choose the Mirage or Planet Hollywood. Both are mid-priced, both are newly remodeled, and both are really in the ';center'; of the strip.

I live in LV and Planet Hollywood is my favorite on the strip.. I've been dying to stay there!
There are great moderately priced hotels on the strip. My recommondations are:

Luxor, MGM, Venetian, Bellagio, NYNY, Monte Carlo, Treasure Island, Aladdin, or Caesars.

Try www.hotwire.com and you can usually get good deals at the last minute.
Imperial Palace is great if you're not looking to spend a lot. It is a nice hotel and is centrally located on the Strip.
It really depends on what kind of experience you are looking for. I suggest doing some rate comparisions and checking things out here http://www.bestofvegas.com/hotels/

    hello friend,

hotel staywell is situated just below the over bridge near sher e punjab hotel, arithang road.

i would consider this hotel not so good for traveler who wish a little silence as this hotel is next to the main road and probably more noisy.

facility wise..i have never been inside but given a choice i had rather not stay here but assume hotel to be okey for low budget traveler.

only plus point according to me is its location which is somewhat inside gangtok and you can access most market inside gangtok on foot.

This isn't what it means! It means the price you pay is for whatever room they have available when you check it. If all of the standard rooms are booked, you might luck out and get a suite. But if all of the nice rooms are booked, you can end up with a small room looking out at the dumpsters.

The Hotel St, Andres des Arts ( http://www.123france.co.uk/en/0/hotel-sa鈥?/a> ) or the Hotel du Nesle ( http://www.hoteldenesleparis.com/ ) fit the bill.

And yes, of course there is a Metro in Paris as that is where the term ';Metro'; comes from. The Paris Metro is the best subway system anyplace in the world.

The fact is that if you stay in the city center you are never far from a metro station or too remote from tourist attreactions. If the two hotels I suggest are not to your satisifaction then I suggest you consult the eurocheapo site and select a hotel in either the Latin Quarter, Marias or St. Germain de pres areas. http://www.eurocheapo.com/paris/What hotel do you recommend me to stay at in Paris ?

I suggest you hotel Ascot Opera - rue Monsigny no.2. It's a small one, in a very safe area, but very, very close to the main beauties of the city. Of course there is a metro in Paris (the station 4 September is 2 minutes from this hotel), but you can easily walk and see almost everything you want from the Ascot.

Is Hotwire a reliable way to book a hotel?

I am trying to get a good deal for a hotel in Philly tomorrow night. The prices on Hotwire seem too good to be true. Has anybody used it before and was your experience good or bad?Is Hotwire a reliable way to book a hotel?
I have been very curious about Hotwire too, but since they have been around for quite awhile and have all those commercials on then it seems like it must be okay if it wasn't I am sure it would be long gone. You can select how many star hotel you want and what area you want to be in and of course the best part what price you want to pay. If you are going for one night then I would totally try it , it couldn't be that bad especially if you select 4 stars and if for some reason it is that bad well then you have one not great hotel in Philly for one day at a great price and know not to use Hotwire again. Is Hotwire a reliable way to book a hotel?
I like hotwire, though there are some trick to getting what you want. First of all, larger cities are the way to go. BUT... dont stay downtown if you can help it. They will get you with valet parking and before you know it it costs more than a hotel on the outer edges of town.

You can rely on the fact that the price and your reservation will be honored. However, you cannot rely on where you will be staying unless you have complete control over your hotel selection. I believe Hotwire shows you a price but does not tell you the hotel until you book. Reservations are non-refundable You could end up at a hotel that you normally would not select. I would rather pay more and be certain I got a hotel that fits my standards. When you have a hotel name, you can check TripAdvisor.com for reviews. There is usually a good reason why some hotels are so cheap. Prices normally are going to be about the same by hotel regardless of why you book.
I agree with ThePerfe.. You will have a place when you get there. However, some of the places you are booked into are dumps. Even if it has a name you can trust it can be quite a surprise. I do it all the time as it does save money but sometimes I want to cry when I get there.
none of those places are 100 percent reliable... it's better just to call the hotel directly to book your room. at least call the hotel to make sure your room has been booked before you leave!
id give it 8/10 but for a last minute quite estranged website that is good. I found it easy to use.

The best thing to do is go on line to Priceline.com, or Disneyland.com. it won't be cheap. It would cost less if you go to hotel outside the park. Go on line to Anaheim, Ca. hotels, food is much cheaper outside park.Good luck

Here are the hotel rates published in the local government site of Bacolod.

    http://www.bacolodcity.gov.ph/hotels_pension_houses.htm

In this site you are more or less 100% sure that the rates are updated and accurate. Hotel websites and contact details are also posted here if you want to verify. Rates are in peso. 1 USD is equivalent to 48.27 pesos (PHP). To get the rates in dollars, divide the peso room rate by 48.27 (current USD-PHP exchange rate). Example a deluxe double room in Casino Filipino Hotel is Php 2,420/day which is equivalent to 50.13 USD/day.

It will be in yearend of this year. Hotel/traditional Japanese hotel is ok. Also I ever heard that we can travel all around Japan using one single train ticket.I wanna spend about 1 week with my family in Japan, any tips for cheap hotel and transportation?
You can check the cheap hotels in Japan here

the cheapest? try searching mikuni house in the internet they offer a house for 15,000 or something for a week or so. good accommodation for a big group trying to stay together on a trip. you could also try youth hostels. its good especially okey when you are moving around or on the go. JR rail pass is okey when you have limited time. but its expensive by my standards (^_^)v, if you could stay in japan longer and you wanted to really savor or enjoy going around try the 18 seishun kippu, but its really for the adventurous and agile people... and its available only on some dates and seasons within japan...hope you enjoy japan...(^_^)b
there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
    Hi there,

Yes the Japan Railway Pass enable you to unlimited travel around Japan. It's actually the best ways to travel if you plan to visit main attractions in Japan. The JR pass also enable you to have certain discount at cetain hotels. They have 7 days or 14 days pass. My suggesstion is for you to find out about the route of the railway and then plan your visit accordingly. But remember you must purchase the Pass before you leave. There are no Pass sold in Japan. Purchase it at their authorised worldwide sales office These websites might help you. Depending where you are planning to stay, variety of hotels within your budget is available for you. Plan wisely.

    Good luck!!
You might want to stay at a Japanese-style ryokan which accommodates foreigners. I stayed with a friend at Sawanoya Ryokan near Ueno Zoo and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. If you book a larger room, your family can all sleep on futan together, just like traditional families do. If you are only traveling around Tokyo, than get day passes. If you want to go to Kyoto or other large cities, you would use a JR Rail Pass for the week.
Look up for the Toyoko Inn Hotel website. This is a hotel chain in Japan and they have hotels located within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance from major train / mass transit stations throughout Japan. Room rates are relatively cheaper and they are clean and tidy.

Where to find supplies to build a model hotel?

I am building a model hotel for a university course. I am looking online for materials for the decorations.. such as trees, streets, lights, cars, etc.I am desperately looking for a site that has these small-scaled scenic things for sale. Thanks.

Also, I know for the actual hotel its best to buy light woods such as balsa but any other suggestions will be great.Where to find supplies to build a model hotel?
Your BEST bet is to get model railroad accessories. HO scale (which is 1:87) is very popular, and you can find cars, lighting, scenery, and more.

Though balsa is nice... IF I have to use wood, I prefer bass-wood: almost as light and much stronger. For BUILDING I really like sheet styrene plastic. It's simple to cut with an X-Acto and metal straight edge, you glue it up with plastic-cement, AND it comes in pre-engraved sheets in patterns like brick, concrete block, planking, clapboard, and shingles !! There are ALSO in model-railroad shops, styrene plastic molded window-frames, doors, and other accessories.

IF you don't have to design an ORIGINAL building... I would get a hotel KIT !!

No don't count on it. You can try to book a joining room for an adult over 18 and kind of keep to yourself (but make sure they are not too noisey) but for the most part, an adult has to be present. Also, a minor can not legally enter a contract with anyone, and signing into a hotel is signing into a contract.

Theey are so small and ingenuous and we want to spend a week-end in a hotel shortly but are afraid of the internet.Where are some of the places one would look for a hidden camera in a hotel room?
    Almost anywhere.

Hmmm...sounding a little paranoid. Going to be doing something that you shouldn't be doing? Or with someone you shouldn't be with? Are you a well-known person or something?

Just kidding. Just make sure you're staying in a reputable hotel. The big name hotels don't want any bad press or be sued.

Relax and enjoy your weekend.Where are some of the places one would look for a hidden camera in a hotel room?
    Gee, feeling a little paranoid?

There are so many places, you won't find it without full professional search even if one is there. Smoke detectors, two way mirrors, plush toys, TV sets, ventilation, air conditioners, coffee makers, ceiling fans, radios/alarm clocks, picture frames... They can literally be anywhere. And there are many places where you won't find it unless take the thing apart.

The technology is so advanced in that matter. So unless you want to bring a private detective with you and disassemble everything in the room that has small gaps/holes or glass/mirror surfaces - just stay in good reputable hotels (check them on http://www.tripadvisor.com/ ) and if your images end up online - you'll probably have enough cash to change your identity and appearance and live the rest of your life on a tropical island in prosperity from suing that hotel!

    LEM.
look out for 2 way mirrors

you can check by putting the tip of your fingernail against the mirror and looking at the reflection sort of side on. if there is gap between your nail and the reflection then its a real mirror. if the reflection meets directly up with the the real nail, its a two way!!!

also be aware of any trees close to your hotel windows
Hidden camera's are not standard in hotel rooms
its okay cuz if they have a hidden cam in a hotel room, its ILLEGAL.

HOTEL + HIDDEN CAMERA = YOU GET $$$$

Have you ever snuck your pets into a hotel room?

I am planning a cross country trip since we are moving to a new military base. I have been trying to map out where hotels are just incase we want to stay in one or 2. The pet fees are a little much! My dogs are quiet and never bark so that is not a concern. If I had the extra cash flying around it wouldnt be so bad, but 30 bucks per dog a night sounds crazy. Have you ever snuck your dog into a room? Have you ever snuck your pets into a hotel room?
I have snuck my two poodles into a hotel one time... It works pretty good if your dogs are potty trained to a pad in case they have to go potty in the middle of the night. Another thing was the barking... poodles bark a lot but we kept it under control and never got caught. One thing that happened was when we left for a moment to go get something they would scratch wildly at the door and tore up the carpet a bit. It wasn't to bad though since we didn't leave them alone for to long.. One other thing that you may want to consider is how much your dogs shed and how large they are. The larger and the more they shed may make or break your decision to do it or not. Also, If you do get a pet friendly hotel, make sure you check the reviews for it. You are going to want to pay the extra to get one that is well kept or else you'll be walking in pee puddles and smelling wet dog all over the bed sheets. Yuck! lol :) Well I wish you luck in whatever you decide! Take Care and G'luck! Have you ever snuck your pets into a hotel room?
Yeah, I have. Nobody noticed - they were kind of clueless, even if my dad came down the hall with his dog on a leash even though I put my little Yorkie pup in my purse. Lol.

And if anybody catches you, you could always argue 'I thought kids stay free!?'

Haha. Well, I don't know about you, but my dogs are definitely my babies :)
yeah but I didn't have a choice - had to bring kitty and it was too cold to leave her outside. she was a brat and started running down the hall but somehow no one saw her.
No, because my cats so fat she would be blatantly obvious.

wow, little stalkerish? What hotel do NHL teams stay at when they play the Rangers?
NHL has a contract with Super 8 Motels. By contract, the visiting teams are required to stay at the Super 8 closest to the arena at which they are playing.
lol I know somebody who would stay at the same hotel w/the ahl Cinci Ducks. They got up ~2 am and flipped the fire alarm..all the Ducks came running out of their rooms in their underwear. One wasn't wearing anything!!!

So, umm idk and if i did I wouldn't tell. :P

If you want siggys just go to a practice, or hang out after a game.
Not sure, but i know that the away teams that play the sharks stay at Hotel Valencia or however you spell it in Santana Row:)
    The Sharks stay in Jersey.
Bull .......it's Motel 6....cuz they'll leave the light on for them!
Lubers- LMAO! Gotta hand it to you! Still up for some Euchre? Jen is on her way!
you know, isles and devils players dont need overnight stay because their facility are so close to MSG. Rarely a team stay over. When they are on the road its travel, arrive at arena, play the game and travel again after the game. there IS a hotel right around MSG by the FUSE studio. visitors might stay there such is the case with Thrashers. (Beats me but Thrashers are playing 2 games against Rangers at NYC in 3 day period.

Why is God punishing the baby in the hotel room adjacent to mine?

I'm currently working from a hotel room, as my wife is here at a conference session for her work.

Next door, a baby has been crying non-stop literally for 6 hours. Early on I heard what I think was the mom's voice yell ';NO!'; a few times, but then after that just the baby crying and crying.

Has the baby committed some sin to be seemingly punished in this way?Why is God punishing the baby in the hotel room adjacent to mine?
Sounds like she is using a slow pressure cooker, I'm sure it will be done in about another 2 hours though. Why is God punishing the baby in the hotel room adjacent to mine?
If the baby is suffering, God could send an angel, but he more usually sends a person. You.

Not sure why the hotel situation opened up a huge question like undeserved suffering, but basically, it's something about how humans are connected. We are either ';islands'; or we're not. If we were islands, we would miss out on the whole beautiful potential of relationship. Since we are not, we can suffer--an awful lot--from one another's faults or neglect. Why did God decide to give us this huge risk? If you believe in God, then you have to suppose that God is creating something bigger than it all. For instance, the best virtues we know arise either through adversity or in response to someone else's adversity...Oh, wait a minute, DID you respond to someone else's trouble?
Why are you blaming God for this? YOU are to blame for not getting involved. What is happening in the next room is the results of decisions by the babies parents. God gives blessings if they are received. But he will not shove his way into anyone's life. When good things happen, I never hear any of you unbelievers thanking God for that. You just like the blame game.
The baby could have colic...my daughter cryed non-stop when she had it. And she could have been yelling stop to another toddler that she might be caring for.. But rather than guess what's going on over there. Simply go knock on the door or call the front desk. And no God does not punish baby's. He is ever so loving. It's how we treat people. But please call the front desk and tell them that you are worried. You might be that baby's saviour if it is being neglected. Sometime's God put's us in places for a reason. And this might just be another purpose for you to do.... Take are
I would call the police so that they can inquire. If you think the baby is in harm's way and not do anything about it, you are held accountable for its suffering as well. This isn't a reflection of my faith at all. If you think the baby is being harmed, then do something about it.
As a mandated reporter, you should call the front desk and have them go to he room just to make sure everything is ok. If that doesn't work call the police. The child could be in danger and no child should be crying for 6 hours straight.
Did you ever think maybe God put you ti intervene on the child's behalf?

God puts people where he needs them to act responsible! Even none believers ! you afraid of getting involved or don't care,or don't want to do because God is directing you?
Why are you blaming God for this? Why didn;t you call the police? If something happened bad to that baby and you kept to yourself when God placed you there at that time. then why were you punishing that baby by not getting it help?
Sin of not taking no for a answer, I heard that before right before I got the rod of correction.
no dude, i personally am not a religios person. it sounds as though this baby is suffering neglect, so have a word with the manager of the hotel.

    xxx
You need to call the hotel manager, and if he won't do anything, call the police. Obviously something is seriously wrong with that baby.
Why is it that people want to blame God for the things in life that are wrong but if its something good no-one hollers God did it? why don't you call the hotel manager and report God for punishing the baby!
i don't know why he's punishing the kid, but i talked to him before he left for his morning beer run and he's coming for YOU next!
Babies with colic will cry that long. It may mean nothing. But maybe you should knock on her door and make sure she's okay. It's alright to be a little nosy in that case.
REport the mother to social services! The baby is being mistreated and sin has nothing to do with it
God isn't punishing the baby. The parents are responsible.
    Say something Idiot.
Has it occurred to you that you could be the one being punished?
That baby has been left alone for 6 hours?!

What's with you man? This is the perfect chance to go in and make some fresh babby stew!
No the baby has done nothing wrong call the frount desk and get it some help PLEESE
You fool, God was TRYING to tell you it's time for dinner!
No, but it sounds like the mother has
    the baby obviously renounced jesus
    Maybe it caught ';The Gay';.

Edit: Things have quieted down you say? Maybe the mother took matters into her own hands and made some BBQ-ed babby. In that case, make sure to stop next door and get some while it's still fresh!
    you should offer yourself to babysit for free and the mom's voice yell ';Ohhhh Yessssss';
yelling is not sinning.....this isnt about you here.....shes just frustrated...

Can a 17 year old check into a hotel without a parent present?

My friend and i are planning on going to Orlando for a graduation trip. If our parents booked us a hotel, would we be able to check in? (without our parents present)Can a 17 year old check into a hotel without a parent present?
I wouldn't think they would bother to ask for ID. I do think you need to be 18 to be able to legally stay in a hotel without an adult. I think if you ask on the telephone, that's what you will find out. However, you can still try it and just hope they don't ask you for ID. I think it may be a matter of how old you appear to be or what kind of mood the reception person is in.Can a 17 year old check into a hotel without a parent present?
Most hotels require you to use a credit card in order to book a room, so if something happens they can charge you. When i was younger, we weren't allowed to unless our parents did all the booking.
all you need is a credit card
No. I think the minimum age is 18.
probably not. And in some areas you have to be 21.
No, you MUST have a parent or legal guardian present. You are minors. Besides, most hotels won't let you stay alone if you are under 25.
No hotel would let you check in without your parents if you are under 18. You would be too much of a liability. Now a days a lot of hotels are even making people under 21 put down a hefty deposit because of the risk factor.
nope it's illegal. you must be 18 and have an id to check in, even if you're willing to pay triple the money.
Probably not. Have your parents call the hotel and ask. Or you can call.
Just go to an alley, he'll probably last about 5 minutes, anyway.
You need to check with the hotel. Even if your parents booked the hotel and paid for it, some places require you to show ID and be 18 or 21 to check in. And sometimes you have to bring along their credit card.
    call and ask.

i'm assuming that you would need the credit card they used to make the reservation with.

    have fun.
Yes I don't see why not. You just need the credit card that the hotel was booked on. I don't think a hotel will ';ID'; you otherwise.
Not legally, In order to rent a room one must be at least 18 years old. Most hotels will probably not rent a room to you if you appear young (under 21) especially if you don't have a credit card.
    yuhp.

i did it all the time when i was a teen.

but, that was ten years ago ;]

But- if your talking about for senior week, most hotels don't allow anyone under 25 or any students for that week of the year. I know- i just called yesterday to book a hotel at the beach for my little bro.

As long as an adult books it, you should be okay.
yep as long as you can pay for it.

Sounds like fun hope you have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is the good location and good price hotel in Florence?

This is my first time to go to Florence. Is it safe? What kind of attraction that I can see? What is the good location and good price hotel in Florence?
    Yes, it is safe.

    You must see:

The Duomo- Gothic cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore

The fourth largest cathedral in the world, it is the spiritual heart of Florence. The building work took around 200 years, and its green, pink and white marble fasade contributes to the chromatic harmony of the square; its imposing dome is visible for miles around. The interior houses many masterpieces including frescoes by Paolo Uccello and Andrea del Castagno rub shoulders with terracottas by Luca Della Robbia and the sarcophagus of Saint Zanobi. It is possible to climb up to the top from where there is an extraordinary view over Florence.

    The Piazza della Signoria

Florence鈥檚 most famous square, it was used for centuries as a backdrop by artists, then by film-makers. The former political centre of the city, it includes some of Florence鈥檚 main historic buildings and contains the most admired sculptures in the world.

    Palazzo Pitti

One of the most visited sites on the southern bank of the Arno, this palace was designed by Brunelleschi for the Pitti family, rivals of the Medicis. It's a huge and imposing building, and a treasure house of the Medici family's massive art collection including works by Raphael, Filippo Lippi, Tintoretto, Veronese and Rubens, all hung in lavishly decorated rooms. The palace also houses a gallery of modern art and a costume collection.

    Ponte Vecchio

Old Bridge, has been built in 1345, this beautiful bridge, is only one who survived second word war, and it is the oldest bridge in Florence, souranded with many shops and goldsmiths. There is a secret passageway which is connected with Uffizi Gallery and the Pitti Palace, today big touristic attraction.

    The Basilica of Santa Croce

Geometrically coloured marble decorates the building's fasade, but the real treats lie inside, where many famous Florentines lie in peace. The walls are lined with tombs, and 276 tombstones pave the floor. The church's most famous inhabitants are Michelangelo, Macchiavelli, Galileo and Bardi. Its various chapels feature works of art by Giotto and della Robbia, and the serene cloisters were designed by Brunelleschi.

    The church of San Lorenzo

The former parish church of the Medici family in Florentine Renaissance style, built from 1420 by Brunelleschi. Donatello, who designed the bronze pulpits, lies in one of the chapels. Passing through the cloister, you reach the Laurenziana Library, commissioned to house the family's huge collection of books and featuring a sublime staircase by Michelangelo. The Medici Chapels are sumptuously decorated with precious marble and semiprecious stones; the most powerful Medicis were buried here. The New Sacristy was designed by Michelangelo and contains his Night and Day, Dawn and Dusk sculptures.

    Boboli gardens

Adjacent to the Palazzo Pitti, this garden is one of the most famous in the world. It was created from 1549 by Tribolo then by Vasari, Ammannati and Buontalenti. Its fountains, lakes, geometric flowerbeds and terraces lined with trees wonderfully represent the Renaissance style. At the top of the hill stands the Forte di Belvedere built in a star shape by Michelangelo with a magical view over Florence.

    Cascine park

This huge farming estate, situated between the Arno and the Mugnone rivers, which belonged to the Medici family, was turned into a park by Giuseppe Manetti towards the end of the 18th century. The enthronement of Ferdinand III took place here in 1791.

    Museums %26amp; Galleries:

    Galleria degli Uffizi

This former palace of the Medici houses one of the most impressive art collections in the world. It shows the evolution of Italian painting from the primitives to the 17th century. Worth seeing: Botticelli鈥檚鈥?Birth of Venus, Titian鈥檚 Venus of Urbino, Michelangelo鈥檚 Holy Family or the Portrait of the Duke of Urbino by Piero della Francesca. http://www.polomuseale.firenze.it

    Museo Nazionale del Bargello

It houses sculptures by Michelangelo, Donatello, Verrocchio and various collections of enamelware, jewellery, weapons ...

    http://www.polomuseale.firenze.it

    Galleria dell鈥橝ccademia

19th century statues, Byzantine paintings, Russian icons, paintings by Florentine Renaissance painters, notably Botticelli鈥檚 Madonnas and above all sculptures by Michelangelo, including the original of the famous David.

    http://www.polomuseale.firenze.it

    Galleria Pitti

Gallery of modern art, museum of silverware and Galleria.

    http://www.polomuseale.firenze.it

Museo della Casa Fiorentina Antica in Palazzo Davanzati

A museum of Florentine domestic life: furniture, fabrics, domestic objects from the 14th to 18th century.

If anyone have any info please let me know.

ThanksHow can I find an affordable, kids friendly hotel in Paris with a view of the Eiffel?
This is a bit late to book for France Bastille Day (like Independence Day) and to find something good AND affordable AND facing the Eiffel Tower.

Here is a ranking of the most children friendly hotels in Paris, based on the reviews of families with young children that have stayed there

From them, I would think of the following

    Paris Bastille

No affordable hotels have views of the Eiffel Tower, sorry to say that. I've been in Paris many times now. If you're looking for a good hotel in Paris you can go to Scoobit.com http://www.scoobit.com and to this page dedicated to Paris hotels in particular http://www.scoobit.com/hotel-paris.php I stayed at the first hotel on the right. It was a clean, well located and nicely staffed hotel. Ideally located near Notre-Dame, the forum and the Pompidou center. Very good tube connections. Safe site. You can book on line and there are no booking fees. Have a great time in Paris with your kids.
Cheap hotel with a view of the eiffel tower? If it exists, it won't be pretty, that's for sure.

Nice hotel in a neighborhood with a lot of character merely steps away from a metro stop? That I can help you with!

Hotel Opera Cadet. It's nice, clean, free continental breakfast, on an adorable paris street and its about 100ft from a metro stop.
There are many hotels with views of the tower. The trick will be getting a room facing the tower. Try in the area of the 7th arrondissement and the Ecole Militaire. Other places will be across the river in the 16th. Some of these hotels will not pop up on the ';big'; travel sites but are still reasonable and clean. One that pops into my head is the Hotel Bourdonnais or the Hotel de Champs de Mars.

Is it easy to walk from the mirage hotel and casino to the Riviera casino in las vegas? How far is it from ?

the mirage. I have tickets to the comedy club there. Are their any good restaurants at the riviera for dinner? Dessert? Is it easy to walk from the mirage hotel and casino to the Riviera casino in las vegas? How far is it from ?
It is a long walk. I recommend taking the Deuce (double decker bus). It's only $5 for a 24 hour pass and runs every ten minutes. It picks up in front of all the major casinos. I have stayed at the Riveria, but none of the restaurants stood out to me. But I did eat at the Peppermill, which Simon mentioned, and that is very good.Is it easy to walk from the mirage hotel and casino to the Riviera casino in las vegas? How far is it from ?
I would just cross the street, and get on the tram behind Harrahs. Either that, or grab a cab outside your hotel.

You could walk it though. Its probably a 20-25 min walk depending on how fast you walk. In the milder weather it wouldnt be too bad, but in the heat of summer it might be a strain for some people.

As far the Riviera itself, its a decent but older hotel. There are plenty of dining options, but most are not at the quality level of the newer and nicer hotels.
Its a fair trek probably 30mins its also quiet and dark since the Frontier has been knocked down. Even if I walked there I would get a cab back. Next to Riviera is the Peppermill its a cheap 24 hour oldstyle (Retro vegas) resturant, its good food, great value and good service we always make sure we visit
Hell no it's a looooong ways, dont let the size of the casino fool you. They look close but there not!! Get a Taxi from the mirage!!
you can but a taxi will cost you 8 bucks or use the 24 hours bus service for 3 bucks

Do hotel directories in book-form still exist in this internet age?

I will be travelling through the american mid-west this summer and would like to have a hotel/motel/b%26amp;b directory in the form of a book. I know these used to exist when I was a kid. But do they still exist?Do hotel directories in book-form still exist in this internet age?
I work for Hilton and they make them too! As far as I know, they make the directories for a certain brand. I work for a Homewood Suties by Hilton and our directories only have Homewoods in them...not sure if they make one book for ALL Hilton/Marriott, etc. properties.Do hotel directories in book-form still exist in this internet age?
The chains print them for their own chain. If you want them by city, best to go online first and print them by your itinerary.

You can still read on the way. Just use the internet before you go.
All large hotel chains publish their own directory. AAA still publishes its Tourbooks, which have directories of approved loding in the back.
Yes they are ! work at Marriott Hotel and we still publish our Courtyard by Marriott directory.

Yes it is the Grand Californian. The hotel connects to both Downtown Disney and California Adventure (right by the rapids as you said). This the closet hotel to both parks.

The hotel is beautiful! Be warned it is the most expensive of the 3 Disney hotels, and they are currently under going construction so there may be a lot of noise.
It's the ';Grand Californian'; and it's beautiful, it does connect to California Adventure and also downtown Disney. It also has the best restaurant in the area in the Napa Rose.

Are service dogs allowed in a no pet hotel?

Are they allowed and is there a law or some sort of official documentation stating they are allowed in a no pet hotel? Are service dogs allowed in a no pet hotel?
Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, public accommodations, including motels, are generally required to modify polices to permit the use of their goods, services and facilities by a person with a disability even if that person is accompanied by a service animal.

Businesses are permitted to ask whether the animal is required because of a disability and if so what the dog is trained to do to mitigate that disability. The ADA does not apply to emotional support animals.

Any animal that behaves inappropriately, ie eliminates indoors, barks excessively, makes unwanted contact with other patrons, is out of control, or behaves in an aggressive manner can legally be excluded regardless of whether it is a service animal.

Passing a pet off as a service animal to avoid pet rules is a criminal offense in most states and can result in jail time and or fines. I've seen fines go up to $20,000.

For more information about the Americans with Disabilities Act, contact the ADA information line run by the U.S. Department of Justice at:

    800 - 514 - 0301 (voice)

    800 - 514 - 0383 (TTY)

    Edit:

Service dogs are not allowed absolutely everywhere. I wish people would actually read the ADA before claiming they know what it says. There are exceptions. There are ALWAYS exceptions. The First Amendment to the Constitution requires that religious entities be exempt from the ADA, and there's more. Here are a few places service animals may be excluded:

-Sterile rooms, such as operating rooms, some areas of emergency rooms/departments, some ICU rooms, some ambulances, some delivery rooms (on a case-by-case basis)

-Clean rooms where microchips are manufactured

-Places where food is prepared (though they cannot generally be excluded from dining areas where food is present) (by order of most health departments)

-Open air zoological exhibits, such as open air aviaries (at the zoo's discretion)

    -Churches (at the church's discretion)

-Native American Tribal Council Chambers (at the council's discretion)

-Federal Courts (at the judge's discretion)

-Private clubs (at the club's discretion)

-Private homes (at the home owner's discretion)

They can also be excluded in any instance where the proprietor can show that the presence of the service animal would constitute a direct threat or fundamental alteration. The Department of Justice's number is up there. Verify this for yourself.

Here's the REAL link to the ADA (at least the regulatory law version): http://www.ada.gov/reg3a.html The other person posted not the link to the ADA, but a link to a pamphlet put out by the U.S. Department of Justice giving an extremely brief overview of the ADA.Are service dogs allowed in a no pet hotel?
While service dogs are not allowed ';EVERYWHERE'; (as stated by some who answered), they are allowed to accompany their legally qualified disabled handler in areas of public accommodation that are open to the general public. This includes hotels that have a ';no pets'; policy. The US Department Of Justice under the Americans With Disabilities Act guarantees the rights of legally qualified disabled handlers of properly trained and behaved service dogs access to public venues. See: www.ada.gov/svcanimb.htm

Also, asking for ';documentation'; is a violation of the law. You and your employer can be civilly liable in a lawsuit if you require ';documentation';. See: www.ada.gov/qasrvc.htm
Yes, service dogs are absolutely allowed. Here is a link to the Americans with Disabilities Act (from the government site). Print this out and take it with you.

    http://www.ada.gov/qasrvc.htm

Here are the first Q%26amp;A paragraphs from the link - but I would definitely print this and have it on hand with you. This applies to hotels, and according to this you do NOT have to have certification that your dog is a service dog.

    1. Q: What are the laws that apply to my business?

A: Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), privately owned businesses that serve the public, such as restaurants, hotels, retail stores, taxicabs, theaters, concert halls, and sports facilities, are prohibited from discriminating against individuals with disabilities. The ADA requires these businesses to allow people with disabilities to bring their service animals onto business premises in whatever areas customers are generally allowed.

    2. Q: What is a service animal?

A: The ADA defines a service animal as any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability. If they meet this definition, animals are considered service animals under the ADA regardless of whether they have been licensed or certified by a state or local government.

Service animals perform some of the functions and tasks that the individual with a disability cannot perform for him or herself. Guide dogs are one type of service animal, used by some individuals who are blind. This is the type of service animal with which most people are familiar. But there are service animals that assist persons with other kinds of disabilities in their day-to-day activities. Some examples include:

    - Alerting persons with hearing impairments to sounds.

    - Pulling wheelchairs or carrying and picking up things for persons with mobility impairments.

    - Assisting persons with mobility impairments with balance.

    Moe

(I understand they are not a pet but they are an animal but is there a law for this? Also, if they don't have documentation showing they are a service dog, can they still be allowed?)

Yes - see the link that I provided from the Department of Justice. You do not need documentation per the attached link.
Service dogs are allowed EVERYWHERE. Legally.

A service dog is NOT a pet.

A hotel, a restaurant, a movie theater, a hotel, a library - anywhere, everywhere. They are not allowed to refuse a service dog because that would be DISCRIMINATION against you, which is completely illegal.

They have no say in the matter.
I wanted to weigh in with a hotel perspective. From the hotel's perspective a service dog is still an animal. A service dog's hair and smell must still be removed from a room after they have stayed in it. Future guests can be just as allergic to a service dog as any other dog. That being said, hotels are not allowed to ask for documentation and must accept what is being presented to them verbally.

My experience is with a hotel that allowed pets, but the guests had to pay a fee. The issue of service animals came up almost weekly as people decided they could just say their family cat was a service animal and they didn't have to pay the fee. Some major hotel chains are looking into incidents like that to see if there is any recourse, so I definitely would not recommend misrepresenting your family pet as a service animal.

True service animals rarely present a major issue for hoteliers. They are usually well groomed and, by definition, well trained. Hotels request that you let them know a service animal is coming along so that they can block a room for you that is convenient for both you and the animal. You may be setting yourself up for disappointment/trouble if you just show up with an animal in tow. In addition, by letting the hotel know in advance, the hotel can plan for staffing to deep clean the room after your stay. This is not such a big deal for hotels who have procedures in place already (i.e. hotels that charge for animals), but for hotels who rarely see animals, deep cleaning the room after your stay can pose a staffing challenge.

    That was a great question!
Service dogs are absolutely allowed into a no pet hotel. Discrimination or refusal to allow entry to somebody with a service dog could land that hotel into a serious lawsuit.
Service dogs are allowed by law to go wherever the person they're serving goes.

    http://www.servicedogssavelives.org/laws鈥?/a>
    I believe so
I think you would have to call the individual hotel and ask about their policy about service dogs. In most cases with the right Identifacation services dogs are allowed in all public places if they are servicing their owner.

Does anybody know where to find a cheap hotel room for the Super Bowl in Phoenix?

I want to travel to the Super Bowl in Phoenix this year and was wondering if anybody knew of a hotel or a website/travel agency that was offering Super Bowl Hotels at reasonable rates, the cheapest I can seem to find is $250-$300 a night for budget properties like red roof inn and I'm hoping to find something a little bit cheaper and possibly closer to the stadium. Any suggestions?Does anybody know where to find a cheap hotel room for the Super Bowl in Phoenix?
There is seriously only one place that I know of that you can get a good deal. I am amazed they still have rooms left. Check it out... www.cheapsuperbowlhotels.com. I just answered another question about the site too for another question. it is legit, I already have my room confirmed (and I checked with the hotel to make sure).Does anybody know where to find a cheap hotel room for the Super Bowl in Phoenix?
YOUR QUESTION IS LIKE ASKING FOR A CLEAN MUD BATH

A CHEAP HOTEL ROOM NEAR THE SUPER BOWL.... GOOD LUCK
    Gotta tent??
Try Tucson. Rent a car and drive back and forth (90 mi). It's a nice, flat drive, fast too. It'll be cheaper than a motel in PHX.
You might want to try the local indian reservation. I hear you can rent a teepee dirt cheap!
Your screwed. The superbowl is where everybody can jack up the prices.

A cheap hotel room is probably the one that is located next to the airport, with a strip club in the back. You aren't going to find anything less than your 250 a night, and as its gets closer, its only going to get worse.

I'm sorry but there isn't going to be a cheap hotel in Phoenix...How bout staying a couple hours away, like in Touson...? Az, and then driving to Phoenix?

    Or how bout Scottsdale?

    Good luck!!
you want to find a room now? You'd be better sleeping in your car.
you MUST be kidding... the nearest cheap hotel room for the Super Bowl week-end.. is probably Albuquerque or Las Vegas.
your either sleeping in Califonia or you going have to sleep out side

Which hotel in the Western suburbs of Sydney would you recommend?

I will be going to this area on a 5-wk business trip. Am considering the Crowne Plaza Norwest in Baulkham Hills or the Hills Lodge Boutique Hotel in Castle Hill or the Waldorf Apartment Hotel in Pennant Hills. I am having trouble finding any reviews from people who have been there, so any help I can get would be appreciated! Thanks much!Which hotel in the Western suburbs of Sydney would you recommend?
I live in the middle of all the hotels you mentioned and the hills lodge definately has the best reputation of all. The crowne plaza has very small rooms and isn't somewhere i'd reccomend for an extended stay!

The waldorf is very close to pennant hills station if you need public transport access and is a pretty nice/safe area - not sure about the room quality though!

Hills lodge i think has ok public transport - bus to castle towers or parramatta station (don't hold me to that)

But it would without a doubt be my first choice.

Good LuckWhich hotel in the Western suburbs of Sydney would you recommend?
I stayed in the Mercure Parramatta for a conference and it was reasonably fine. Being in Parramatta was good because it has all the shops nearby and you can walk down to the river as well.
there is also the mercure hotel in parramatta or hotels in sydney olympic park..... assuming you will have a car while you are travelling, these areas are best to get in and out and do stuff.

A classic inexpensive hotel is the H么tel Tiquetonne at 6 rue Tiquetonne in the 2nd arrondissment. they have no internet presence so you have to phone or fax for a reservation. Phone: 01-42-36-94-58 Fax: 01-42-36-02-94 They have single rooms with shared bath for 30 euros.

A good site to check other inexpensive places is Eurocheapo: http://www.eurocheapo.com/paris/
    Hello,

A really nice hotel, not expensive, with all comfort, free internet access, is Lux Hotel Paris. The Hotel Home Moderne has room, with shower from 49 euro. If you are looking for a long stay, you can find quite close to Paris, an apart'hotel in the Residence Paris Asnieres. Prices and services are perfect.
I stayed for 10 days at Hotel Residence du Palais. It was an okay place to stay - right across the street from Jardin du Luxembourg. Rooms have showers and sinks, but toilets are shared.

You can book online at http://www.hotelresidencedupalais.com/.
i would recommend http://www.roachenterprise.com. they have hotel listings for anywhere in the world, and the prices for their rooms.

How can I connect multiple computers to a hotel connection w/o paying the extra fee?

I travel with a partner of mine, I'm tired of paying the fees for both of us to connect to the internet. How can I connect multiple computers to a hotel connection w/o paying the extra fee?
take a little 4 port router with you. That would be the easiest way, hands down. How can I connect multiple computers to a hotel connection w/o paying the extra fee?
Try connecting to wireless, sometimes u can get wireless conections open, they may b risky, but if something is free it comes with it's down falls.

Look for open connections and try connecting would be my bet.
take your own router with you. They are resonably priced. You can get them at best buy etc.
You could set ip ICS or Internet connection sharing on one of your laptops and basically it would be one PC logging on to the net and then the othe logging in to the other PC and then routing out the the net, some what like a router or gateway of sorts.

essentially youll need to have one PC connect over a wire and the other over wireless to make it happen...look at the link below as he explains it pretty good.
use one of the computers as a gateway for the other so that there is only one computer visible on the network. your computer cannot go entirely invisible but the other computer can as long as it is connected indirectly to the network through another computer.
This isn't sarcasm but seriously stay at different hotels. (well i guess it depends if you are in the states or not) but certain hotels (Hilton Garden Inn) are designed for business travelers. Free internet.
Invest in a low cost wireless router. The router would act as your connection, then both your laptops will connect to your router. Make sure you set up some basic security, otherwise the other guests will end up surfing on your dime.

How deep is the water you fall into on the Tanzanian Twister at the Kalahari Hotel?

I am going to the Kalahari hotel in couple of days, and I was wondering a deep is the water that you fall into on the Tanzanian Twister. I am not a really good swimmer so I hope it is not that deep. Please Respond. Thank You!!!How deep is the water you fall into on the Tanzanian Twister at the Kalahari Hotel?
its 6 ft. 6 in, i went there a couple days ago, but they should ask if you are a good swimmer and how to sit blah blah blah

have fun!How deep is the water you fall into on the Tanzanian Twister at the Kalahari Hotel?
We're not talking kidney-shaped pools with volleyball nets. Think 50-person Jacuzzis, meandering rivers dotted with bobbing inner tubes and a 40-mph flume ride that requires an iron gut and a willingness to endure the occasional wedgie. (Better known as the Toilet Bowl, the Kalahari's Tanzanian Twister spins riders through a high-banked, funnel-like contraption before unceremoniously dumping them — sometimes headfirst — into a 9 1/2 -foot-deep pool.)

its 289.56cm/2.9m so you gotta know how to swim! if your gonna rely on tallness then goodluck.
