What is a centrally located, fairly priced hotel in Vegas?

I've never been and will be staying for a couple nights this month. I have no idea where to book a reservation. What is a centrally located, fairly priced hotel in Vegas?
I would suggest Excalibur for your first visit. It has a great location and the rooms are fine. Imperial Palace has a great location but it is old and is showing it's age. What is a centrally located, fairly priced hotel in Vegas?
Imperial Place. It is perfectly located in the middle of the strip. The Flamingo and Harrah's are next door. The room prices are great. It is a nice hotel. One of my favorite. About 9 places to eat. %26amp; The new Las Vegas monorail route includes stops at: MGM Grand, Bally's / Paris, Flamingo, Harrah's / Imperial Palace, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas Hilton and the Sahara. Which is great! Hope this helps! Enjoy your trip!

Imperial Palace is a dump.

Just do a Google search for IMPERIAL PALACE LAS VEGAS REVIEWS

if you want to see what a dump it is.

If you just want a plain, basic hotel room Bally's is the lowest priced acceptable property on the center strip. Flamingo and Harrah's GO rooms are a bit nicer than Bally's and a bit higher priced.

Paris is a step up; nicer than Flamingo and Harrah's and more expensive.

Caesars Palace is a step above Paris and Bellagio is a step above Caesars.

I recommend booking the best hotel you can afford. Even though you don't spend much time in the room, it will make the difference between raving about your vacation after you come home and complaining about it.
Best price, central location. Try, in order of quality, Bally's, Flamingo and Imperial Palace. The only thing the Imperial Palace has going for it is price. But there are plenty of other choices. Below is a map of the Strip. Below that a place to shop for hotels and book them. Below that a site with Promo Codes that may apply for the dates you require. Can be quite a savings but read the everything in the promotion to make sure it is what you want. For instance, some Hotels post a cheap price but then add in ';resort fees'; that is a bit deceptive.

The imperial palace is centrally located. It is a cheap hotel, but you will be in walking distance to all the good casinos. Many people stay there for that reason. They don't plan on spending too much time in their room.
I live here and used to visit before the move.

try this site. vegas.com

it will show you a wonderful selection of places and rates. also it is a locally owned business with real American people that answer the phone if you get in a bind ... you are not call some off shore country where the people have no clue what you are talking about.

In order to get the best price book directly with your desired hotel and use a promotion code. Keep an eye on http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com - it has the latest promotion codes for MGM Grand, Monte Carlo, Excalibur and other Las Vegas hotels available.
Yes, the Imperial Palace is where I stay, but it's kind of a dump. Right near by is Harrahs or Flamingo which are also reasonable. Ballys is good. A good site is i4vegas.com

Excalibur is a little too far on the one end of the strip %26amp; geared more toward kids. Planet Hollywood is nice.
HOW MANY ARE IN YOUR PARTY? WE STAYED AT THE PLANET HOLLYWOOD....4 TO A ROOM AND IT WAS 22.00 EACH WITH TAXES...THE ROOM WAS HUGE AND THE BATHROOM WAS ALMOST AS BIG AS THE ROOM...WE WERE VERY COMFORTABLE AND HAPPY WITH THIS AND WOULD DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN! IT WAS REALLY EASY ACCESS TO ALL THE PLACES WE WANTED TO SEE...ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE NIGHTLY WATER SHOWS!

WE BOOKED A HEAD THRU HOTELS.COM
Book directly from the hotels using their discount codes. Look for deals at Imperial Palace, Flamingo, Excalibur, Luxor and Tropicana.

Imperial Palace is good. I've stayed there. It's not expensive, and it's not a dump either. Other nearby ones include Harrah's, Bally's or the Flamingo.

good luck!................
Central for walking? Middle of the Strip is something like Treasure Island. Not a bad place; great atmosphere. Under $100 on weekdays during slow months.
Right now there are deals galore. I've stayed at the Las Vegas Hilton for $45 / night.
Check out www.lasvegasnow.com which is local TV8 site with links and info. I would sugggest you look at Excalibur
