What are the must have food in a hotel menu, for u?

We are thinking of menu change in our restaurant here in Sydney. What are the foods you think we must have. Please list as many in an order of preferences. Do include salads, mains, lighter meals. Thank You.What are the must have food in a hotel menu, for u?
sandwiches are a must - burgers, blts, club sandwiches are basic and expected. paninis would be even better! and gyro sandwiches too!

noodle dishes - speghetti is basic and expected but it would be great if you could include some asian style noodles - chow mein, a bowl of hot soup with noodles and maybe wontons (you do get a lot of asian guests in sydney)

steaks are an australian staple so a variety of steak dishes will be expected. make sure you have all the good sidings too (french fries, veggies, corn etc)

soups are a must - minestrone, chicken noodle, maybe a good hearty clam chowder

snack food like pizzas for kids and chicken fingers, french fries and fried chicken baskets

salads - asian salad (chinese chicken), seafood salads, ceasar salad, chef salads and fruit salads.

dont forget to include a wide variety of desserts!!!

good luck! What are the must have food in a hotel menu, for u?
Thai food is great
any vegetarian food as a lot of people nowadays are health-conscious. you can check www.cooks.com for particulars... good luck! :-)
Good home style burgers.

Things like platters with southern fried chicken, corn fritters, potato wedges and things like that.

Steak with different sauces.
cold drink

light burger

sandwich
chicken or beef stirfry
I visited Australlia once...back in the 80's. I would think that something with grilled chicken and pasta would work.
Greek Spaghetti. Its like spaghetti bolognaise cross lasagne and it tastes great and is not widely available at many restaurants so will make your restaurant slightly unique.
Hello. I think you should take the advice of doodaybadooday. There are great foods there and seems the best answer. Thanks!
Not sure how exclusive your hotel is, but to me, a hotel restaurant should, at a minimum, offer these:

1. Burgers.

2. Steak.

3. Pasta.

4. Pizza.

5. Club sandwich.

6. Grilled cheese.

7. Cobb salad.

These should also be available through room service as well.
i luv their lobster even though its kinda expensive....
I love a good Club Sandwich. But make it the classic with turkey, not chicken or ham,or egg as some places have been doing! And omlettes with crisp hash browns or better yet, Home Fries on the side! And on the rare occassion when it's on the menu, I'll always order a Monte Cristo sandwich! Also a Classic Cobb salad, made with fresh iceberg lettuce only! Not those ';Field Greens'; which are just glorified weeds!!
Defiantly I love the club sandwich cut into triangles ... serve that 24 hours because I like them for breakfast

I like the Waldroff salad served on a cold plate(just serve this during lunch hours) and the salad with strawberries, goat cheese, mixed greens, coated walnuts or pecans with a strawberry champagne dressing.

Tuna Tartar or a spicy tuna in a martini glass is always a favorite serve in a chilled glass

I think a lot of people like a good French dip sandwich or a beef wellington but make yours unique.

Desserts and chocolates that gives your restaurant a name.

I like Duck that is at the Four Seasons in Las Colinas, Texas at the Green. Juicy and delicious.

Sweet Potato items are really great right now.

The ';Flirt-tini';

The explicitly pink and balanced unity of

X-Rated Vodka and X-Rated Fusion liqueur.
Fetuchene alfrado, i have no clue how to spell it, but it is amazing :]]
