Can a 17 year old check into a hotel without a parent present?

My friend and i are planning on going to Orlando for a graduation trip. If our parents booked us a hotel, would we be able to check in? (without our parents present)Can a 17 year old check into a hotel without a parent present?
I wouldn't think they would bother to ask for ID. I do think you need to be 18 to be able to legally stay in a hotel without an adult. I think if you ask on the telephone, that's what you will find out. However, you can still try it and just hope they don't ask you for ID. I think it may be a matter of how old you appear to be or what kind of mood the reception person is in.Can a 17 year old check into a hotel without a parent present?
Most hotels require you to use a credit card in order to book a room, so if something happens they can charge you. When i was younger, we weren't allowed to unless our parents did all the booking.
all you need is a credit card
No. I think the minimum age is 18.
probably not. And in some areas you have to be 21.
No, you MUST have a parent or legal guardian present. You are minors. Besides, most hotels won't let you stay alone if you are under 25.
No hotel would let you check in without your parents if you are under 18. You would be too much of a liability. Now a days a lot of hotels are even making people under 21 put down a hefty deposit because of the risk factor.
nope it's illegal. you must be 18 and have an id to check in, even if you're willing to pay triple the money.
Probably not. Have your parents call the hotel and ask. Or you can call.
Just go to an alley, he'll probably last about 5 minutes, anyway.
You need to check with the hotel. Even if your parents booked the hotel and paid for it, some places require you to show ID and be 18 or 21 to check in. And sometimes you have to bring along their credit card.
call and ask.

i'm assuming that you would need the credit card they used to make the reservation with.

have fun.
Yes I don't see why not. You just need the credit card that the hotel was booked on. I don't think a hotel will ';ID'; you otherwise.
Not legally, In order to rent a room one must be at least 18 years old. Most hotels will probably not rent a room to you if you appear young (under 21) especially if you don't have a credit card.
yuhp.

i did it all the time when i was a teen.

but, that was ten years ago ;]

But- if your talking about for senior week, most hotels don't allow anyone under 25 or any students for that week of the year. I know- i just called yesterday to book a hotel at the beach for my little bro.

As long as an adult books it, you should be okay.
yep as long as you can pay for it.

Sounds like fun hope you have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
